THE TREES
The Trees are 4 blokes from Missoula, MT. They came to Portland for two reasons: to play more music (and for the bassist to go to grad school).
The Trees have played over 100 shows in bars, theatres, clubs, and houses across the state of Montana. They were a finalist in the 2013 Zoo Music Awards. They were a finalist in Sean Kelly's Top of the Mic in 2012. Their music can be described as "folk pop", but it is best described as "pretty neat".
The Trees are inspired by Radiohead, Grizzly Bear, Smash Mouth, Pavement, and the 1991 film "Hook".
The Trees use guitars, bass, drums, keyboard, synthesizer, lead and backup vocals, and clothing (for legal reasons) to play their original songs.
The Trees are Victor, Clay, Anthony, and Skyler.
